We build our future through our schools, so they need to have the right tools to do their job.  As your school board member, I promote policies which remove obstacles to student achievement.  I will continue to work in partnership with parents, teachers, and staff to give schools the personnel and materials necessary for students to develop the skills they need.  This means having safe, healthy classrooms with the technology needed for modern teaching, having students who know there will be zero tolerance for unacceptable behavior, and supporting the kinds of prevention programs which help scholars stay on the right track.

I have been an educator for 40 years. My wife, Robyn, and I have been married for 34 years, and we are long time Upland residents. My daughter, Heather, went through the Upland school system and graduated from UHS.  My family values the Upland community and schools.  We are PTA members and support many school and community groups.  Our family volunteers and takes part in community events.  I served at the president of Foothill Family Shelter for three years. Experience counts, and as a parent and educator, I need your vote to help Upland schools.  Thank you.
